Yesterday apparently was Grandparents' Day as I received an email from Cricket Magazine pointing out, on Grandparents' Day, how appropriate their magazine was as a gift to grandchildren.
Well, I don't have any grandchildren yet but I sure do love Cricket Magazine. I always used to feel, as a teacher, that if I was stranded on a desert island with a bunch of kids and I had a box of Crickets I'd be fine. The stories and non-fiction pieces are always well-written and interesting and I especially love all the folktales from every country imaginable. Beautiful artwork, too.
Yes, those Cricket marketing folks seem to know what they're doing.
